Will the students become guinea pigs?

One of the vital aims and objectives of education is to educate and develop the human race. That is to say, through education, to make people basically honest, to inculcate values and to develop the proper qualities of the individual. Gaining knowledge on various subjects and enhancing vocational skills. And if any of these are disturbed, then it should be understood that the purpose of education has not been successful; even though they are certified, they cannot be called truly educated. And so it is time for us to come out of dogma and take modern steps.

According to research, the real purpose of education is not just to earn money, but to develop the Holy Spirit. Besides, the purpose of education includes everything necessary for the full development and improvement of the body and soul. In short, the real purpose of education should be the proper development of those qualities with which a child comes into this world.

If we each discuss with conscience from our own position, surely we get a clear idea about the real goal and purpose of education! But what do we actually see in the real case? Although our literacy rate increases every year on paper, are we becoming a civilised nation at all? Or destroying the existing education system and creating a strange and cursed generation of appropriate educational policy is being imposed on us!

It is a very natural phenomenon that the Ministry of Education of a state and related circles will change, expand and refine the education policy to take contemporary steps as required by the times. But if it's not student or parent friendly, how logical is that?

An educational policy that can inspire students to think independently - which can awaken their spirit of independence was actually expected! But in reality, we see a different picture! These days in this country, sometimes teachers, sometimes students, sometimes the parents of students are often laughed at, laughed at, joked with, and ridiculed! As a witness of history, the certified students from the schools established by individuals or groups in the remote villages of that time have contributed with reputation in various fields in the country and abroad, but currently all those schools are in poor condition! Along with the national development, these schools have become government schools, the infrastructure has been greatly improved! But for whom all these arrangements, the rate of students has decreased to a great extent; it is constantly decreasing! The teacher's value/importance has decreased, or in many cases, there is no! With limited resources and unlimited hardships, ignoring many hostile conditions, the traditional education system of teachers and students is facing destruction today!

Even if it is for the sake of fulfilling the duty, no physical or emotional harm can be done to the students—it is a matter of policy! Undoubtedly, it deserves praise as per the principles of child protection! In the past, almost every government has been very sincere in its aim to make education universal, but due to invisible reasons, public development is not visible in that way! With the abolition of flogging from schools, the students' respect for the teacher, accountability, cordial relationship all disappeared overnight in the blink of an eye! Disrespectful teachers are united in the struggle to sustain their sense of self-respect only! They are going a long way in following the national policy. There is no need for any additional sincerity or accountability now, nowhere! Failing students according to the daily new curriculum is a tough job today! And that's why, even if it's in three ways, the students are getting certificates on time. 'Major improvement in the quality of education has been achieved' should only be visible on paper! Naturally, teachers remain out of touch!

There is a uniformity in the insistence on attaining the marginal qualifications of primary school certificate students since independence, even today! That is to say that the students are at least: up to a stage (read, write and explain correctly) developed and developed perfectly! Is it actually happening at all? Although grade points are at the top of the list, there is a huge gap in students' acquisition of practical knowledge, which is well known by the general public. We all have the responsibility to inspire patriotism in every student, but in reality, there is no option for students to be self-motivated or self-motivated! As a Bengali and Bangladeshi, there is a need to have immense respect for language, education, literature, culture in every field of daily activities! We all know, more or less, how it actually happens.

Education has become a business these days! For good reason, the truth of the saying 'Education for All' is being questioned very loudly. Even if we close our eyes, we can see the contribution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh government in terms of improving the quality of education! But the fact is: the number of students in primary schools in rural areas of the whole country is negligible compared to the cities! Even then, for those who are, their foundation is very shaky! Later on, in any competitive exam, they fall behind effortlessly! And this is how our youth society is becoming a very depressed generation! The universal principle of education that is being practiced in urban schools is not!

Just like every New Year or a new festival brings new clothes into festive mode, students and their parents are often forced to adapt themselves to the ever-changing curriculum, system and environment of education these days! Whether there will be a final exam or not, whether there will be a school entrance exam, or a lottery every time? These often have to be puzzled! Students-Teachers-Parents are crushed by the conflict of the policy-making stage. When it is 37 degrees across the heat-affected country, schools and colleges have been declared a general holiday for the next week, but the next week, even if the temperature is 41 degrees, educational institutions will continue! When students and parents are confused, a new notice comes overnight to close schools and colleges! Such a funny incident also happens in this middle-income country! In addition, even if a student who cannot participate in the higher secondary examination due to physical illness completes the higher secondary with credit the next time, without any pre-determined notice, the idiocy of not allowing the affected student to participate in the medical college entrance examination is possible in the education system of this country!

Can't those who have capitalised on the teaching profession and established themselves famous overnight in the private and coaching business make themselves more available in the field of school and college teaching? Or forced to find a way of additional income? Our education policy seems to be following the policy of the traditional age, while on paper there are various claims of creating a good citizen, but in reality, the sick competition among millions of highly educated people against one small post every year is very common. To the entire nation, being educated means just doing a job. Every year, the rate of education in this country is increasing and we are enjoying satisfaction, on the other hand, the unemployment rate is increasing very much!

Despite the extreme reality, the guardians look like pilgrims with a chest of hope. This means that education policy will be developed, millions of students will become real people! Or will our students become guinea pigs at the end of the day?
