‘Friends, Bengalis, countrymen, lend me your ears…’

‘Friends, Bengalis, countrymen, lend me your ears…’

“Human rights are at the center of U.S. foreign policy” – these words are pronounced with full force by Peter Haas, the US Ambassador in Bangladesh. But if we look to American history, we do not find anything equating like that. Rather, it is a brazen-faced lie. In fact, this pronunciamento is nothing but a sham for him and for his country! His words are sounded-out like, “Rogues supplant justice.” Setting about, we must say his own country’s treatment towards Native Americans is a gross human rights violation. The impact of Native American genocide by white settlers still reverberates to this day.

Let us now come to the compass point of US Ambassador in Bangladesh Mr. Peter Haas’ country’s colossus violations of human rights and Brobdingnagian war crimes in 1971 against our people in Bangladesh in connivance with the brutal Pakistani military junta and their local mango-twigs, especially Jamaat-e-Islami mass-murderers.

Mr. Peter Haas might have blanked out or cut out that very cruelest episode of history by design, as for political or other cloak-and-dagger reasons, but we have not forgotten his country’s 1971 cold-blooded role against the fitting cause of our people for establishing of our own independent and sovereign homeland in Bangladesh. Because of their country’s mighty support to Pakistan like a rogue state, the Pakistani army’s worst war criminals brutally murdered three million of our innocent people, pronouncing the holy words and using the name of Islam, “Naraye takbir Allah-hu akbar. Pakistan zindabad. Pakistan is the holy place of Islam.” They did never allow those dead bodies for burial. Instead, they boastfully allowed the dead bodies for eating by dogs, jackals, vultures and other human flesh-eaters. I saw in my own eyes all these colossal misdeeds committed by Pakistani army beingly strongly backed up by the US administration – led by President Richard Nixon and Secretary of State & National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger.

Those hellish creatures’ - Pakistan army raped our three hundred thousand mothers and sisters, 10 million of our innocent people were made homeless who took refuge in India. It is they who played the mighty role to annihilate us from our own soil in 1971 beingly vigorously defended by Uncle Sam like a varlet state.

Besides committing vast crimes by the brutal Pakistani army in Bangladesh in 1971, the US president Richard Nixon expanded the Vietnam War, which saw the deaths of thousands of civilians. While most of these deaths were unintentional, some were actually purposeful. On top of this, he deployed chemical weapons. Nixon's War on Drugs laid the groundwork for the mass incarceration of minorities and poor people. Somehow made Vietnam worse.

Henry Kissinger is a megascopic war criminal and human rights violator and law offender. He was Secretary of State (1973-77) and National Security Adviser (1969-73) under President Richard Nixon. He is the United States’ most notorious war criminal and has done more than most in such senior positions to undermine respect for human rights and international law. He is still alive and living in the US without facing any trials for committing colossus war crimes and human rights violations in Bangladesh and elsewhere across the world.

The U.S. would be better served by in-depth hearings examining Kissinger's record and the failure of to hold him accountable for his acts of omission and commission that supported repression, facilitated mass murder, and undermined governments throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America and elsewhere. This failure to hold Kissinger accountable has allowed him to continue to promote new wars and foreign interventions.

The tale of monstrous US 7th Fleet… 52 years ago, the US President Richard Nixon had a terrible idea in connivance with his National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger. Under the pretext of evacuating American citizens from the warzone, Nixon ordered the US Seventh Fleet’s Task Force 74, led by the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Enterprise, to proceed towards the Bay of Bengal. In point of fact, the US crudely dissembled this act designedly to prevent the Bengalis from taking the birth of Bangladesh from the savage Pakistani army.

Top fourteen U.S. Presidents are accused of the war crimes, such as, George W Bush, George H. W. Bush, Richard Nixon, Barack Obama, Lyndon B. Johnson, Ronald Reagan, Harry S Truman, Donald Trump, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Bill Clinton, John F. Kennedy, William McKinley, Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D Roosevelt.

Henry Kissinger was Secretary of State (1973-77) and National Security Adviser (1969-73) under President Richard Nixon. He is the United States’ most notorious living war criminal and has done more than most in such senior positions to undermine respect for human rights and international law.

Did those White House administrative functionaries face any criminal prosecution? Did they get any punishment or sanction? It will not be unfitting demeanor for us to ask Mr. Peter Haas to shed some light on this significant issue.

Furthermore, everyone is in the know that voter fraud used to be rampant in America. In the aftermath of the 2020 election, President Donald Trump unleashed a barrage of litigation to review results in battleground states and claimed that the election was tainted by “tremendous corruption and fraud."

During the 19th and early 20th centuries, powerful networks known as political machines typically controlled local votes, through cronyism, bribes, and an ability to get out the vote—consolidating political, social, and financial power in the hands of a few.

In the words of U.S. District Judge Lynwood Smith, who in 2011 conducted a sweeping survey of the history of voter suppression in the South, common tactics included "theft of ballot boxes; removal of polls to unknown places; burning ballots before elections; illegal arrests on election day; importation of voters who did not live in the precinct; calling off names wrongly; fabricating reasons to refuse to hold elections in precincts populated with blacks; the voting of dead or fictitious persons; ensuring that poll watchers and ballot counters became drunk while votes were counted; and organizing ‘disorderly demonstrations’ to intimidate voters."

The allegations of fraud are basically tearing down an election institution in the U.S. After a-2016 presidential election marred by allegations of foreign meddling, the midterm contest looms amid concerns about voter suppression in Georgia and other states as well as unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud by undocumented aliens.

Vote buying occurs when a political party or candidate seeks to buy the vote of a voter in every election. This practice is often used to incentivise or persuade voters to turn out to elections and vote in a particular way in the U.S.

In some parts of the United States in the mid - and late 19th century, members of competing parties would vie, sometimes openly and other times with much greater secrecy, to buy and sell votes. Voters would be compensated with cash or the covering of one's house/tax payment. To keep the practice of vote buying secret, parties would open fully staffed vote-buying shops. Parties would also hire runners, who would go out into the public and find floating voters and bargain with them to vote for their side.

In America, voters may be given money or other rewards for voting in a particular way, or not voting. In some jurisdictions, the offer or giving of other rewards is referred to as "electoral treating.” Electoral treating remains legal in some jurisdictions, such as, in the Seneca Nation of Indians.

Matt Robinson examines the problems that stem from the media's over-reliance on polls in America in his 2002 book, Mobocracy: How the Media's Obsession with Polling Twists the News Alters Elections, and Undermines Democracy. Despite some significant problems with question wording, sampling error, and response bias, news organizations treat survey results as the Gospel. That, in turn, means pundits, the media, and voters create political narratives to justify the results. As Robinson observes, they commit the logical fallacy of reasoning from effect to cause. 2020 presidential polls in the U.S. suffered worst performance in decades, media reports say.

The American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) task force examined 2,858 polls, including 529 national presidential race polls and 1,572 state-level presidential polls. They found that the surveys overstated the margin between President Biden and former president Donald Trump by 3.9 points in the national popular vote and 4.3 percentage points in state polls.

Now do you guys understand Mr. Peter Haas or his country’s agenda for our country and our national polls procedures? Should we confer a trust upon him who has been under the cloak-and-dagger activities behind the enemy lines in collusion with his or their old cordiform boosters who were given a devastating defeat by us in 1971?

We should keep in our mind, “One black sheep spoils the whole flock.” We all should raise our voices in unison against Mr. Haas and his buddies for intruding into our national affairs in no time to bring about a better and peaceful society for all of us in Bangladesh.

If American establishment stops its meddling into the internal affairs of other independent and sovereign countries at their free-will, the writer of this piece strongly believes 95% violence, war, drone attack, destruction, killing, … across the world will dramatically come to an end. The rest 5% discommodes from the whole world will then automatically diminish. The whole world will be a peaceful and livable place for people of all religions to live together.

Truce to your rigmarole, Mr. Peter Haas!  (To be continued)
