Every day on the Caldera leaves throughout the year is a special day in each of our lives. Some of these are special days that are celebrated nationally or internationally. Likewise, today, August 12, is International Youth Day. International Youth Day is celebrated every year to recognize the outstanding contribution of youth towards global change. The United Nations International Youth Day, held in Lisbon, Portugal in 1998, was celebrated for the first time in 1999 after the recommendation of the United Nations General Assembly for the development and development of youth.

Youth is the biggest strength of any country. The significant contribution of the youth class to the education-health-economy and even the independence/liberation movement of almost every country, including Bangladesh, will be history for the next generation. Recently, starting from Sweden's Greta Thunberg to Pakistan's Malala Yousafzai, millions of young people have been working as an important force for change in climate change, human rights violations and even Bangladesh in various events around the world!

As youth is the best time of life and youth class is one of the main driving forces of a country, the main purpose of International Youth Day is to: discuss youth participation and opinion on various issues ranging from social, economic and political events. This Youth Day is being celebrated worldwide to create mass awareness in an effort to involve the existing youth in the national development activities in almost every potential country. Education-health-economy-good governance-peace-progressiveness-social justice, children's rights, women's empowerment—even the youth of this country does not stop at this to sustain the traditions of the native culture. Along with the government, domestic and foreign development organisations are thinking of utilising the youth properly. Their active participation in every field shows that their role in social change is immense.

Realising the importance of national development in global 'public health research papers' like the United Nations, it has been said to be more focused on youth and youth development. According to the United Nations, there are about 200 million young people aged 10–24 in the world today, which is a quarter of the total population. According to the National Youth Policy of Bangladesh, the age group of 18 to 35 years is identified as 'youth'. As such, one third of the total population is youth. In that case, about 60 million young people live in this country. Who can play a leading role in rebuilding this society? Recently, the entire nation fell under the fire of the anti-discrimination movement! In such a situation, on the one hand, the active role of the youth society is essential, on the other hand, state sponsorship is also very necessary for their overall development. There is no substitute for a conducive environment for the growth of the youth. In every case, they have to provide protection and fulfil socio-cultural rights. Proper evaluation of each job is very necessary to maintain their self-esteem. People from all walks of life, including teachers, should pay special attention to the fact that every child-youth class can be exposed in pure light, can express their valuable opinions. In other words, those who will wake up the whole nation in the need of time, today that youth should be decorated with perfect workmanship.

It is not enough to become a nation dependent only on Facebook and YouTube, addicted to digital management; Instead of thinking about the future development, we have to proceed strategically. On the other hand, sports and cultural practices are very necessary to protect from religious-political extremism or drug addiction. Surely, the young generation is our national asset, as in the recent past the youth of this country have gifted the greatest impact on national development. Many, including Salam-Barkat-Assad, have campaigned for the language. Apart from this, the youth society of this country has played a significant role in the education movement of 62, the mass uprising of 69, the great liberation war of 71, then the mass uprising of 90 and most recently the movement of 24.

After 53 years of independence, there is still turmoil in the social management of this country. In particular, the youth is getting involved in drug addiction and terrorist activities under the umbrella of some power-hungry circles. However, among these youth, we have knitted a web of vast dreams in our heart & soul. We surely believe that the youth will build a new social movement. Again, the torch of peace and victory will burn in the hands of the youth of this country in the international arena! In the need of the hour, today the youth are making special contributions in various fields of social change. From the war of liberation to the anti-war movement, they are united! Today they have taken on the role of volunteers to bring peace to the society. Today they are speaking for humanity irrespective of caste, religion-gender. In that case, the state and the civil society need to be more careful so that they can become true patriots and sacrifice their lives for the motherland.

The thinking and action plan of every government should be such that it brings the overall welfare of the youth and which can truly contribute to the national development of the youth. After many ups and downs with the youth, the current interim government has taken charge of the development of the country; it really deserves praise! At the same time, in the near future, the burden of proper leadership should be left in the hands of the youth. And therefore, the responsibility of developing knowledge and humanity is the responsibility of the government as well as each of us.
According to the theory of 'Aging Population in Public Health', the huge number of youth in the population, are the more active the country, can play a special role in the growth of the national economy. Therefore, it is clear that moral-human and environmental education, along with institutional education from a very early age, is of great importance in order to make the youth into real human resources. Such education is urgently needed so that after the completion of formal education, they do not become the face of the government but can become social entrepreneurs through practical education and gain the reputation of the nation. Only then, we can turn them into educated and skilled human resources. And this human resource will be helpful in earning foreign exchange not only in own country but also outside the world.

Due to population density compared to size, it becomes difficult for the government alone to handle everything in many cases! In that case, along with the government, various development organisations are making special contributions to social development. Various national and international social development organisations mainly: child rights, child protection, education, health sanitation, livelihood, disease management, including contemporary and contemporary social development activities that this organisation is working as a helper for child welfare. Training in 'Life Skills', 'Social Development' and 'Interpersonal Social Behaviour Change' is very much needed for the youth. So that, along with the general staff and volunteers, this youth forum can continue its relentless efforts to increase public awareness. The hands of youths and children/forums have started various social movements. Besides, this year's theme is "From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathway for Sustainable Development" and there is an urgent need for the government to play an active role in creating opportunities for sustainable development. On the one hand, positive changes will be achieved in the society; on the other hand, self-confidence among themselves will increase and opportunities will gradually be created to develop their leadership in social activities. This is how the youth community in this country will one day become a human resource; Peaceful new society will be created!

Today, August 12, 2024, is "International Youth Day" and they should only be celebrated—this is not the case; rather, every day, every moment, we should stand by the youth, give importance to their opinion, give them the right advice, and leave the responsibility of the future in every house, in every family, in every society. Only then will this International Youth Day be worthwhile. Therefore, a call to everyone in this difficult time: "Let's unite to create a favourable environment for the youth in the establishment of a peaceful society of the future; be convinced with an unhesitating heart!" Because, we know that "now is the best time to go to war for the one who is young". This war is to stand up against injustice; this war is to establish good governance and democracy; this movement is to make them smile from the side of the oppressed people! This movement, along with the vast masses of people, to develop and build a progressive state. One, each of us will surely respond to the youth community in building a civilised and peaceful society. Surely in this world, millions of people will live in the breath of pure air as "humans" Surely that day is not far away! Finally, we believe in our hearts that "Youths are our real Asset!"
