Happy Inauguration Day, The Daily Messenger

Greetings and hail to the inauguration day of this esteemed online daily English newspaper. It celebrates its inauguration day on 21 March, 2023 to keep the day worth remembering or as a milestone as the entire family belonging to it will gather in its office to mark this grand occasion. This newspaper community has got up with a wide range of events to get them out and mingling while enjoying some of the finer things in life…

Journalism can never be silent: That is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air.

Echelons of Bengali culture aside, even those who "don't do Shakespeare" speak his words in their daily lives. Most of us will have quoted TDM’s write-ups many times.

It is a surreal moment

The writer of this piece would like to hold dear of the sound relationship between The Daily Messenger and him. I am very proud of collecting experiences and memories of eminent, genial and well-disposed journalists, staffers and many more there. It is a surreal moment for me and for many. Even so, I would be at The Daily Messenger at 52/1, New Eskaton Road, Dhaka office to pay my rich tribute to everybody there, and I am ready to walk down everybody’s desk to personally talk to them. I hope I would feel a sunbeam there on this auspicious occasion. The Daily Messenger will be a tree house so that one can see the sun oneself.

 Iconic English daily

The Daily Messenger will be the iconic English newspaper of Bangladesh, detailing the lives and homes of the poor, rich, famous, or aristocratic and for all. The spotlight they shine on causes close to their hearts will be commendable and they are gifted with the same humanity and empathetic qualities. They also transcend age groups – appealing as much to younger generations as to the old. Long may it continue!

Many of the newspapers are still in circulation today, but some newspapers from a certain date have long since been discontinued, making them that much rarer. Individuals can relive the world’s greatest moments as reported at the time through stories, interviews, photography and even the advertisements. Collectively these common newspaper features offer a fascinating insight into the past. TGM is no exception to it. They are guaranteed to prompt some fond memories and a strong sense of nostalgia as the recipient like me enjoys a trip down memory lane.

Some of the most popular options to compliment a newspaper from date of inauguration celebrations include various deluxe gift boxes, luxury presentation folders, frames and hard back books of special supplements. These can be further personalised with a unique message, and more, on the certificate of authenticity. This is included with every single one of our personalised inauguration day of newspapers at no extra charge. These are also the option to add a bottle of their favourite tipple to our red silk lined presentation cases, choose from a huge selection of write-ups.

To uphold the true spirit for which Bangladesh was created in 1971

TDM will be the home of the newsroom, providing breaking news, analysis, sport, entertainment and lifestyle seven days a week. It is fully equipped with the highly qualified and dedicated journalists in the related fields to work for the just cause of Bangladesh, and the country’s welfare to the core upholding the true spirits of our glorious Liberation War of 1971 for which Bangladesh was established. It offers quality reporting throughout the day, breaking the news with stories, and many more things.

As a frontline FF of the 1971 war field, I hope TDM will always remain committed to the core spirit of our liberation war of 1971.

Traditions for celebrations around the world always vary, but the inauguration ceremonies are one of the things that all people have in common, even if they speak different languages. So, take this as an opportunity for more speaking in practice! After all, who doesn’t like to be wished a Happy Birthday?

Celebrations are like a window into the heart of a culture. Celebrations show what people value, how they relate to each other, and how they express themselves. Learning how to say “Happy Inauguration Celebrations” mean more than learning to pronounce a few key phrases. It means digging deeper into how to celebrate a newspaper’s birthday.

Today, English has become the leading language in business, science, literature, politics, diplomacy and many more areas and industries. It is also considered as the world’s lingua franca as over 55 countries speak it as a second language. And The Daily Messenger will be playing a leading role in English journalism in Bangladesh. Arthur Miller has correctly spelt-out, “A good newspaper, I suppose, is a nation talking to itself.”

A very Happy Birthday to our amazingly talented, super smart, gracious, classy journalists, writers, columnists of TDM, filled with a joyful occasion for special festivities to mark some happy event today.

On a clear today, there is a 360-degree panorama of the entire TDM office. TDM’s good looks, charm and self-deprecating sense of mood, coupled with the newspaper’s natural beauty and style generate an impression of modern royalty that is a winning combination of star quality and an approachable, common touch.

The melody of "Happy Birthday to You" comes from the song "Good Morning to All", which has traditionally been attributed to American sisters Patty.

Happy inauguration celebrations to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday dear, TDS team
Happy birthday to you.

Terminus words

A happy inauguration ceremony of a newspaper is a new beginning - many new tomorrows which will be shining, bright and clear, years of possibilities as endless as the sky, and a chance to meet the challenges in everything we try. Keep growing to keep shining. You captivate the whole universe of Bangladesh and even the whole world. Words fail to express my love and blessings for you. Have a great inaugural celebration! Again, my good wishes for TDM. To finish-off today, we wish to quote the words of William Shakespeare, “With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.”
