If your heart really cries for democracy and human rights, you cannot support BNP

A book containing a person's political philosophy under the bed, consistently put to bed before sleep, will make the person think something new about who they are. I don't know whether The Prime Minister of Bangladesh has such a habit or not. However, one does not need to be quick to understand that a heavenly angel is her advisor. Because Bangladesh's largest political party Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been able to build a unique history of stopping the country's super-theistic power and not allowing the dictatorial rule of the military leader's party to go astray in the democratic shell.

Meanwhile, in search of political civilization in human society, all the countries, groups or powerful mirrors who continue to present themselves as representatives of the conscience class, I say to them, there is a so- called political force in Bangladesh, namely Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) who are in your meeting room. They are waiting to meet you !  The goal is to earn your support by acting. If you think, they will be very good rulers, at least for you, at the end of the day, they are not for the people of Bangladesh, nor for you.

Bangladesh Nationalist party BNP was founded on 1 September 1978 by former Bangladeshi Army Chief Ziaur Rahman after the Presidential election of 1978, with a view of uniting the people with a so-called nationalist ideology. Subject to building better military rules, he captured two Presidential elections in 1978 and 1981.

So it becomes very funny when they want to see a window to criticize a particular party like Awami League in today's times. The color of the door of Awami League is democratic. For which the party conducted the Liberation War of Bangladesh. We then came to be known as an independent state. Everyone needs to know that there is no justification for questioning the party of the father of the nation.

On the other hand, BNP has not been built on a legacy that it can transform into a credible ideology. From the outset, it was a hotchpotch of elements. Bangladesh Nationalist party is that type of so called political platform and they were able to succeed temporarily because, at one time  leftists dissatisfied with the Awami League’s nationalism, rightists hankering for an Islamist revival, opportunists, and Pakistan-era establishment figures sidelined by the new rulers after Bangladesh’s independence.

As a result, four aspects of BNP being a political evil force come to the fore.

One, The party's top leader became involved in corruption while living a luxurious life. The party’s Chairperson Khaleda Zia is in jail for corruption charges and her son and the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has been living in exile in London for more than 10 years. He was also convicted of money laundering. That is why the people of Bangladesh rejected them. Which affects the common people of Bangladesh----the BNP no longer commands popular support.

Two, There are no more options for Tarique Rahman of BNP to earn money in Bangladesh. So he does not live in Bangladesh with courage. In October 2018, a Bangladeshi court also sentenced Tarique to life in prison over a 2004 assassination attempt on Sheikh Hasina, which killed 24 people and injured many others. He wanted to kill the top leader of his main political opponent. How much he cherished the terror that controlled the underworld of capital Dhaka. He was or his friends with Dubai based don Dawood Ibrahim. He wanted to trouble countries like India by taking money from separatist organizations, but that was not a foreign policy decision. People therefore know BNP as a terrorist organisation. A Canadian court also gave such a verdict.

Third, Moreover, in 2013 the BNP, supported by its ally, the Jamaat-e-Islami, sought to change the election law through general strikes and street protests and announced its intention to boycott the upcoming 2014 general election citing unfair conditions. Sheikh Hasina’s government went ahead with the election despite the boycott and easily won a new term in power. In response, the BNP continued the unrest – buses were burned, bombs were thrown, and major disruptions were caused to public life. This caused the public to turn against the main opposition party.

Four, They don't do politics to protect the public interest. In the last era, they had no specific action plan for the people. Even though there is a parliamentary democracy, their political leaders do not want to go to their areas to know the happiness and sorrow of the masses, what they want and get. As a result people do not even know the names of their party leaders now. They want to go to power through the crooked path of politics. They maintain contact with civil society. Some of that civil society is politically ambitious! BNP now wants to gain political advantage by sabotage. They don't want to do politics. In 2015, they burned people in the name of siege for 92 consecutive days. Meanwhile, in 2018, the BNP agreed to peacefully participate in the general elections, yet failed to regain public support. Against this, they talk about state bias, if that was the case, then why don't common people take to the streets for them?

Honestly we got a leader. Why is she in the state service for three consecutive terms? The answer is, she is a philosopher king. The king is expected around the doctrine of the Greek philosopher Plato. whose name is Sheikh Hasina. She is fighting for democracy by upholding individualism as per Machiavelli's philosophy. And democracy can be fully established only when all the people of Bangladesh can be politically educated. Sheikh Hasin will show it. Moral support of all is needed now. If your heart really cries for democracy and human rights, you cannot support the BNP.
