Around 21 member companies of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) participated in the Japan IT Week 2024 held at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan on April 24-26, 2024, in collaboration with Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority.
In this trade show in Japan BASIS members will participate in B2B meetings, seminars, and networking events to expand business with different countries. In addition, participating stalls will highlight the capabilities of Bangladesh's IT sector by informing about their IT products and services and branding IT sector of Bangladesh. Besides, this meeting will play an important role in creating a bond between investors and IT professionals, according to a press release.
As a part of Japan IT Week 2024, a seminar titled “Digital Bangladesh: Your IT Destination” was organized on Wednesday. At the seminar, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan gave a welcome speech while GSM Jafarullah, ndc, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority also delivered a speech. Dr. Ariful Haque, Minister (Commerce), Embassy of Bangladesh, Tokyo and RejwanurKabir, COO of Destiny Inc. presented slide presentation.
In the seminar, speakers said that Bangladesh is the next destination for investors in the field of ICT. Bangladeshi IT companies are able to provide products and services according to any international demand. Bangladesh's success in the international software and app market is also enviable.
Some 16 member companies of BASIS will showcase their services at the Bangladesh Pavilion in Japan IT Week 2024. AKM Ahmedul Islam Babu, BASIS Director and Chairman of BASIS Japan Desk, coordinated the overall arrangements for participation in Japan IT Week 2024 for Bangladesh part.
