A half-century from Towhid Hridoy propelled Bangladesh to a competitive total of 165 in the third T20I on Tuesday (7 May) against Zimbabwe at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Put in to bat first after losing the toss, Bangladesh's openers, Litton Das (12) and Tanzid Hasan Tamim (21), failed to provide a solid start.

Litton’s dismissal, bowled while attempting a scoop shot for the third consecutive delivery, raised eyebrows and questions about his batting approach. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto also departed cheaply for 6, failing to make an impact.

However, Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali resurrected the innings with a well-paced partnership.

Towhid played aggressively, smashing 57 runs off 38 balls before falling to Zimbabwe's best bowler, Blessing Muzarabani. Jaker Ali continued the momentum, scoring 44 off 34 deliveries before being dismissed by the same bowler.

Bangladesh, having already won the first two matches of the series at the same venue, will be looking to secure a series victory with another win against Zimbabwe.
