South Africa chase down their 106-run target losing three wickets and clinched a comfortable seven wicket victory against hosts Bangladesh to go 1-0 up in the two-match Test series.
Opener Tony de Zorzi scored 41 while Tristan Stubbs was unbeaten on 30 during the chase for the Proteas.
Taijul Islam took all three wickets for Bangladesh.
Earlier, Bangladesh bowled out for 307 in their second innings and set a moderate target of 106 run for the visitors during their first Test at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla national cricket stadium on Thursday.
Tigers started the day four on 283 for 7 with Mehidi Hasan Miraz unbeaten on 87 and Nayeem Hasan on 16.
Kagiso Rabada strike in the very first over as Nayeem trapped in front for leg before wicket in the third ball of the day.
Taijul Islam (7) got out two overs later and Miraz was the last wicket fall as the all-rounder missed a well-deserved century by getting out on 97 off 191 deliveries.
Rabada took six wickets for the Proteas while Kesabh Maharaj took three.
