The start of the second ODI between Bangladesh and Ireland has been delayed due to rain in Chelmsford on Friday (12 May).
For the same reason, The first ODI between Bangladesh and Ireland match was washed out when Ireland were 3 down for 65 in 16.3 overs in reply to Bangladesh's 246 before rain put an abrupt end to the proceedings.
With the rain, gone were the chances of Ireland directly qualifying for the ODI World Cup. Bangladesh, though, would want to have more points to their names and good preparation in foreign conditions after having beaten the Irish 2-0 in the home series recently.
