Social Islami Bank launched a credit card campaign on Sunday to expedite the journey towards a cashless society at the bank’s head office in Dhaka.
Zafar Alam, managing director and CEO, inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest, while Mohammad Habibur Rahman, deputy managing director, presided over the programme, according to a press release.
Mohammad Wahiduzzaman, head of the card division, delivered the welcome speech. Divisional heads and senior executives of the head office were also present. Zonal heads, branch managers, and sub-branch in-charges also joined the programme virtually.
Zafar Alam, managing director and CEO, said “Bangladesh is heading towards a cashless society and credit card plays a vital role in this regard. We are ahead among the shariah-based banks.” He urged the concerned division to take all necessary steps to popularise our bank’s card among the people.
