Miscreants set a stationary commuter train on fire at Tangail Rail Station on Thursday (16 November) amidst the ongoing 48-hour countrywide road-rail-waterways blockade called by BNP, Jamaat and other like-minded opposition parties.

Mohammad Selim, booking master of Tangail Rail Station, said that miscreants set the train on fire around 3 am.

On information, a fire fighting unit rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.

Two bogies of the commuter train were partially damaged.
