Two people sustained gunshot wounds in an attack by outsiders at a polling centre of Cumilla City Corporation elections during the Cumilla City Corporation by-election on Saturday (9 March).
They are supporters of “horse” symbol candidate Nizam Uddin Qaiser.
The two people Zahirul Ahmed and Tuhin were reportedly shot at around 10am by the supporter of metropolitan Chhatra League leader Tahsin Bahar Suman near Munshi M Ali High School centre in Ward No. 19 of Comilla city.
The injured were taken to Comilla Medical College Hospital with the help of locals.
