An elderly man was killed as a truck crushed him in Ghatail upazila of the district early on Sunday (7 April)
The deceased was identified as Bablu, 70, of Atharodana village in the upazila. He was a village doctor.
Officer-in-Charge of Ghatail Thana Mohammad Abu Salam Mia said the accident occurred early morning in front of the victim’s house on Tangail-Mymensing Road when he was going to village mosque for Fajr prayers. Bablu doctor died on the spot, the OC added.
