A training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force has crashed into Chattogram’s Karnaphuli river. Two pilots were seriously injured in the incident.
The incident took place on Thursday (9 May) morning.
The accident was reported around 10:30am. The YAK130 aircraft has likely sunk in the water as it could not be located yet. The two pilots in the plane managed to eject. They were rescued and sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, but their identity could not be ascertained yet.
