Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Habibur Rahman & DC Chitralekha Nazneen. Dr. visited the area affected by the fire at Motiplaza of Rangpur city.
On Monday (April 17) at 7:30 in the evening, they visited the scene and announced the formation of a 4-member investigation committee to investigate the incident. They were accompanied by ADC (General), Rangpur Mr. A.W.M. Raihan Shah and the leaders of the Fire Service and the Metropolitan Chamber.
After the inspection, Divisional Commissioner Habibur Rahman said that it is believed that the fire started from the generator. A 4-member committee has been constituted by convening the Additional District Magistrate to investigate the matter properly. The inquiry committee has been asked to report within 7 working days. Then the reason will be known properly. Compensation will also be arranged for the victims.
The fire started from a foam shop on the ground floor of Motiplaza at 3.15 pm on Monday. The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes by the fire service. 2 shops and a go-down were damaged in this incident.
