Residents of the Dowarabazar Upazila in Sunamganj are facing severe hardships due to the prolonged impassability of the road stretching from Fathepur Jamal Point to Noagaon.
This vital route, which traverses from Banglabazar to Chakbazar in the Laxmipur Union, has fallen into disrepair, causing distress and safety concerns for the local community.

Pedestrians navigating the three-kilometer stretch of the block are grappling with numerous problems as the road is riddled with potholes. Despite the deteriorating conditions, there appears to be a lack of attention to this pressing issue.

The deplorable state of the unpaved road, spanning approximately two kilometers within the broken block and one kilometer from Fatepur Jamal Point, has resulted in multiple collapses and breakages. The road is not only a lifeline for Noagaon and the neighboring villages but also poses a significant risk to vehicular traffic, making it hazardous for daily commuters.

Elderly and ailing patients find it increasingly difficult to traverse, and students face numerous challenges when commuting to and from schools, madrasas, and colleges.

Local residents are urgently appealing for the road to be paved. It's worth noting that a segment of this road was laid with bricks 12 years ago, but regrettably, no maintenance or paving has occurred since then.

Expressing concern for the plight of the community, Local UP member Sohail Ahmad Mintu stated, "The suffering of the common people on this road knows no bounds, with pedestrians sometimes falling victim to accidents. We implore the authorities to expedite the paving of this crucial roadway."

In response, Lakshipur Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Zahirul Islam assured residents that efforts are underway to pave the entire three-kilometer section, extending from Fatepur Jamal Point to Noagaon. He expressed optimism that the road's renovation will be completed in the near future.

Dowarabazar Upazila Local Government Engineering Directorate (LGED) Engineer Md. Abdul Hamid pledged to investigate the road condition, offering hope for the local community that relief may be on the horizon.
