Bangladesh Television (BTV) will air a special tele-drama titled 'Shesher Ratri' tonight at 9 pm on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore (May 8, Baishakh 25).

The drama is directed by Shah Jaman Mia based on the adaptation from Rabindranath Tagore's short story 'Shesher Ratri' by Khairul Alam Sabuj. The cast includes Khairul Alam Sabuj, Jitu Ahsan, Wahida Mollick Jolly, Habib Masud, Borhan Babu, Poly Chowdhury, Moumita, and others.

The story of the drama revolves around Jatin, who has been ill for a long time. The doctor has given up hope for his recovery, but the treatment continues. His aunt serves him like a shadow day and night, but his wife Moni does not pay much attention to all this. The inexperienced and fickle-minded girl still doesn't understand much about the world. She insists on going to her father's house. The aunt has failed to make her understand. On the other hand, the aunt fabricates stories of Moni's virtues to her nephew Jatin, so he doesn't suffer. The drama explores the dynamics of this situation.

In addition, on the birth anniversary of the Nobel laureate poet, special discussion shows, documentary shows, music shows, painting shows, children's shows, dance shows, and poetry recitation shows will also be aired on BTV.
