A two-day long 45th Science and Technology Fair was inaugurated on Monday in Chandpur's Hajiganj upazila with the theme 'Science and Technology, Prosperity in Innovation'.
The fair, 8th Science Olympiad, and 8th Science Quiz Competition were organized on Hajiganj Govt Pilot High School & College ground on the occasion of National Science and Technology Week-2024 organized by the upazila administration.
Hajiganj UNO Tapas Sheel presided over the teleconference as the chief guest in the opening ceremony, Chandpur-5 MP Bir Uttam Major (Retd.) Rafiqul Islam.
Hajiganj Upazila Parishad Acting Chairman Golam Faruk Murad, Hajiganj Police Station officer-in-charge Muhammad Abdur Rashid, Upazila Secondary Education Officer AKM Jahangir Alam spoke as special guests conducted by Suhilpur High School Assistant Teacher Zahid Hasan.
At that time, the Upazila Woman Vice Chairman Mirza Shiuli Parveen Milli, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mehedi Hasan Manik, Agriculture Officer Dilruba Khanam, Project Implementation Officer Engineer Zakir Hossain, Hajiganj Government Model Pilot High School and College Principal Abu Sayeed, Kankairtala Janata College Principal Monirul Haque Patwari, Sports Association General Secretary Zakir Hossain Sohel, Head Teachers Abdul Haque, Joynal Abedin Titu, Iqbal Hossain were present, among others.
After the speech, the guests visited the 34 stalls of the fair and the quiz competition of the students.
