After a long wait, the much-anticipated film ‘Kajol Rekha’, starring popular actress and dancer Mondera Chakroborty, has finally hit theatres during Eid-ul-Fitr.
The reason for the prolonged wait is that the release of this film was announced and postponed multiple times before finally making it to the big screen this Eid, as Mondera had assured.
Directed by Giasuddin Selim, Mondera stars in the titular role of 'Kajol Rekha'. Although the film didn't receive a wide release across the country, it was screened in about seven theaters where Mondera captivated audiences with her acting and glamorous presence.
Mondera herself has already watched the film in theatres multiple times and interacted with the audience. Yesterday, she attended the 4:30 pm show of 'Kajol Rekha' at Simanta Sambar in the capital city.
While ‘Kajol Rekha’ may not have achieved the same level of popularity as Giasuddin Selim's earlier hit 'Monpura', the audience has been mesmerized by Mondera's performance, highly praising her acting, appearance, and artistic presence befitting her character.
Mondera is basking in the love of the audience, sometimes directly interacting with them and sometimes through social media. The main thing is that she is very satisfied with her debut film.
“Kajol Rekha is my life's first film. I got the opportunity to play the lead role in my very first film. This was a very big deal for me,” Mondera said, adding, “I sincerely express my gratitude to Selim Bhai. I had hoped the audience would like the film, especially my character. The fact that the audience is mesmerized by my acting is my achievement.”

As a newcomer, the way everyone has inspired me, I am grateful to all.
