Jennifer Aniston is bringing new life to “9 to 5”. The Morning Show star is set to produce a remaining of the iconic 1980 film starring Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton and Jane Fonda, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Aniston will produce the project that is in development through her Echo Films banner, alongside her partner Kristin Hahn. Oscar-winning writer Diablo Cody will pen the script. She’s also written movies like Jennifer’s Body and, most recently, Lisa Frankenstein, starring Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton.
The Friends star’s production company has produced projects like Adam Sandler-starrer Murder Mystery 2, Dumplin, Cake and The Switch. The InSneider was the first to report the news that the women would be producing the remake.
